Postpartum doula

What is a postpartum doula?

A postpartum doula provides physical, emotional and informational support for a new mother and her family in the immediate postpartum period – the 4th Trimester.

As a postpartum doula, I provide client-centered individualized care for each family, using non-biased, educational and evidence-based information.  I am here to help you transition to this new place as smooth as possible.  As a mother myself, I understand this special time in your life and the importance of care and support.  Following the Biodynamic Model of Care, my primary goal is protecting the well-being of the mother-baby dyad with the least amount of intervention necessary.

Daytime Support

$40/hour, 4 hour minimum

8am - 8pm

A daytime doula provides nurturing support during the day. I will care for your baby so you can nap, shower, eat a meal, or tend to older children; or I will take care of tasks around the house while you bond with your baby. All while sharing information on infant feeding, newborn care, and other postpartum needs.

Nighttime Support

$45/hour, 8 hour minimum

8pm - 8am

A nighttime doula provides support throughout the night. I will help with bedtime routine, breast and bottle feeding, provide tips for safe sleep, and meet family needs during night wakings, including diaper changes, rocking/soothing, and snacks for mama. Go to sleep knowing your baby is being cared for and wake up more rested.
